How could anybody take a dry topic with more acronyms than Carter has pills and keep me engaged for a full day? Elyse did it…engaging, practical, humorous, illustrative, even during the harsh “hour of hell” after lunch. The structure/content was well thought out with each section building upon the previous one. The workbook is very thorough and a resource we will keep on our shipping desk. Highly informative seminar in a digestible, enjoyable format. Thank you, BettySue!
Betty Sue…it works! I hired Elyse to present the Riddle of the Exporter™ sight-unseen. We hosted 55 exporters of varying levels of experience and the real miracle–they ALL came back after lunch and participated even more enthusiastically. We received an unprecedented number of thank you emails for bringing Betty Sue to Montana to teach them a complicated topic in such a fun way. I cannot recommend it highly enough!
The virtual version of “The Riddle of the Exporter™” course exceeds expectations of what this course is supposed to be. The Riddle of the Exporter 8-step process is a very effective tool for traders who are both in the initial stage to export and to improve the processes that already had started. The goal to research markets, learn regulations, transportation and payment options help create an effective export plan.
The workbook was first published in 2010 to compliment the training. Since then, it has expanded into a stand-alone reference book. The workbook is now available as an e-book or downloadable pdf. It has been updated approximately every 2 years with important industry changes and clarifications. We are on our 9th version.
The unique aspect of the eBook is that each page has key resources that are linked directly to the sources. You can click the link right from the book to take you to important resources such as the Schedule B Search Engine. How easy is that!
The workbook can be purchased alone or with the On Demand training.

“I would personally like to thank you for your help with the business plan we submitted in the Free Trade Alliance Education Foundation International Business Plan Program. We had no clue what we were doing or how it would get done but you helped us tremendously! The Riddle of the Exporter™ program helped organize our thoughts, gave us a platform of what to research and in the end helped us bring together our global idea with global marketing strategies. As the first ever team to compete from the Alamo Colleges we were able to use The Riddle of the Exporter™ to place 3rd in the Undergraduate category. This competition covered 18 teams representing schools from 23 countries! It was a proud moment for all of us.

Elyse was one of 24 speakers at our Global Entrepreneurship Export Exchange held in Dallas. As the Conferences Director for 6 conferences globally, I have seen over 100 speakers provide content to help explain global trade. I was impressed with Elyse’s ability to connect with entrepreneurs, and to explain global exporting in simple terms that really cut through a lot of the mystery and intimidation that most entrepreneurs feel when considering global expansion. She was hands down the most highly rated speaker of the conference. I received feedback from many attendees thanking me for providing access to such a relevant and valuable resource.
